A lot of organisations are focused on reducing the levels of population growth in the world, and particularly in Africa. They may arrange large conferences and invite MP’s and other senior officials.
Yet even amongst the staff of such organisations it is common to find many who have virtually no commitment to or belief in the importance and value of having small families (with fertility rates that are at approximately replacement values). And typically, most of the participants at such conferences don’t change or update the cultural beliefs and traditions they have grown up with.
- We have challenged President Museveni in a powerful and compelling way on the importance of limiting population growth. (See our video pages to view.)
- We’ve been on Ugandan TV addressing 6 Presidential Candidates, 3 Vice Chancellors and 2 Prime Ministers on the importance of limiting population growth.
- We have a very unique, very compelling approach to the topic that really makes sense to Africans, that changes their viewpoints, and that actually changes personal behaviour and beliefs as well as intellectual understandings of what is good for the country.
- Our approach is very real and very personal—while at the same time being extremely rich (and interesting and convincing) in providing statistical information on the impacts of population on a country’s wealth, health and many other measurements
This is a topic we are very passionate about, and would be very happy to present on at any conferences.
